UL Solutions’ Sustainability Information Calculator Verification (SICV) service provides independent verification of sustainability calculators used to generate product- and enterprise-level ESG data. The service evaluates whether calculators can produce materially accurate, reliable, and auditable outputs when used as intended, including assessment of calculation methodologies, data inputs, managed content, and control environments. Verification determines alignment with defined criteria and internationally recognized standards such as ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-3, and the GHG Protocol. The scope covers key sustainability metrics including carbon emissions, energy use, water consumption, and waste.
