DETCHEM is a software package for coupling detailed chemistry models (microkinetic reaction mechanisms) with reactor simulation and CFD codes. It originated in 1998 with Olaf Deutschmann and has grown into a suite of modules for packed bed reactors, monolith and microchannel reactors, solid oxide fuel and electrolysis cells, utilities and CFD coupling. It also offers reaction mechanisms and the CaRMeN tool for digitalizing kinetic information. Applications span the chemical and process industry, energy and mobility, and biotechnology. The software is distributed by omegadot software & consulting GmbH.
