FOTAS is the distributed fibre optic sensing (DFOS) brand of SAMM Teknoloji, a Turkish technology company combining advanced manufacturing with R&D in fibre optic communication and sensing. Its certified R&D centre develops distributed sensing systems, smart sensing cables, IoT devices, industrial software and data analytics platforms. SAMM began fibre optic cable production in 2016 and received R&D centre certification in 2018. FOTAS solutions are deployed in over 30 countries across 5 continents, and SAMM has been an approved CERN supplier since 2021.
