Idealworks

Idealworks is an industrial automation company that originated in BMW Group's innovation lab in 2015 and was established as a separate company to productize automation systems. It delivers integrated robotics, software and orchestration: the iw.hub autonomous mobile robot for pallet and dolly transport, iw.os on-robot edge intelligence, the Idealworks OS fleet orchestration layer (formerly AnyFleet), and the iw.sim digital twin simulation. It serves automotive, manufacturing, intralogistics, logistics and fulfillment customers, orchestrating 1,700+ robots worldwide. Fully acquired by Agile Robots SE in September 2025, it is headquartered in Munich with a North American HQ in Greenville, South Carolina.
