Letta is an AI research lab based in San Francisco building stateful AI agents — machines that learn, remember, and improve over time. Founded by the creators of MemGPT from UC Berkeley's Sky Computing Lab, the company develops open-source agent runtimes and hosted cloud services that give AI agents persistent memory, evolving identity, and continual learning capabilities. Its research spans memory models, context management, sleep-time compute, and token-space continual learning, all shipped as production software.
