S&P Global

S&P Global offers financial indexes, ratings, data and research. The Sustainable1 business, created in 2021, grew out of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment and sustainability indexes that S&P Global first launched in 1999. Sustainable1 builds on a few key acquisitions: carbon and environmental data provider Trucost (acquired in 2016); physical risk modeller The Climate Service (acquired in 2022); and sustainable finance evaluator Shades of Green (acquired in 2022). Sustainable1 offers climate and ESG scores and data, covering physical climate risk, nature, net zero, carbon markets and energy, in addition to reporting services, indexes and benchmarks. It continues to conduct the annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which is a large survey assessing firms’ sustainability performance.
