ecoinvent database

The ecoinvent life cycle inventory (LCI) database includes more than 26,000 environmental datasets spanning major industry sectors and geographies, with new content added regularly. The database supports impact assessment across a wide range of environmental indicators, including the 16 impact categories recognized by the EU Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) method. Applications include corporate carbon accounting, life cycle assessments (LCA), ecodesign, product carbon footprints (PCF), and supply chain optimization. ecoinvent data is used by enterprises, software developers, consultancies, database providers and academic institutions. The ecoinvent database is traceable, providing comprehensive documentation for all aspects of the database and annual reports documenting changes. The database can be accessed through ecoinvent's platform, ecoquery, its API or via third-party LCA software.
