Hoare Lea's building decarbonization consulting services are delivered through its Net Zero Carbon, Climate Advisory and Sustainability specialisms, combining the firm's deep MEP engineering heritage with dedicated net zero strategy capability. Services span net zero carbon strategy and pathway development, embodied carbon analysis, operational energy and in-use carbon assessment, end-of-life carbon planning, sustainable retrofit, and digital and AI-enabled climate risk forecasting. The team has worked with clients across healthcare, data centers, retail, higher education, science and technology, and logistics and warehouses. Hoare Lea has developed proprietary tools including a project metrics tracker (eight key metrics at each RIBA work stage) and an early-stage Whole Life Carbon calculator, and chairs the UK Building Services Engineers Climate Emergency Declaration initiative.
