Hoare Lea is a UK-based engineering and built environment consultancy, founded in 1862 in Birmingham and headquartered in Bristol. The firm has been part of Tetra Tech's High Performance Buildings Group since its 2021 acquisition. As one of the largest mechanical, electrical and public health consulting engineering firm in the UK, Hoare Lea provides a multidisciplinary service across MEP, acoustics, air quality, audiovisual, digital engineering, fire engineering, intelligent buildings, lighting design, sustainability, and operational engineering and building performance. With 160+ years of heritage, the firm has worked on landmark projects including the 15-storey hybrid-timber Timber Square office in London (targeting a 5-star NABERS UK rating), and serves clients across commercial, healthcare, education, science and technology, data center, retail, residential and infrastructure sectors.
